Following your successful Texas whitetail deer/exotic hunt, your guide at McGrath Ranch transitions into the final, yet equally important phase of the hunt. After you have your pictures with your trophy Texas whitetail or exotic, McGrath staff will quarter harvest on the hunter’s behalf.
Throughout the hunt, our guides serve not only as trackers but also as mentors, providing instruction and tips geared to help you become an even better hunter. Whether you’re a new hunter looking to learn the ropes or an experienced marksman seeking to sharpen your skills, our guided hunts make for an unforgettable hunting adventure. Hunting guides at McGrath Ranch are patient educators, ready to share their knowledge of effective stalking strategies, accurate shooting techniques, and the proper harvest of game.
Each room comes with a private bathroom. One secluded king size master suite, two queen size suites with a private patio, one bedroom with queen size bed, one large bedroom with six full size beds, one bedroom with four twin size beds (two bunk beds), two wheelchair accessible rooms with queen size bed.
Our South Texas hunting lodge is equipped with all the amenities of home so that you can relax while you’re with us. Our amenities include high speed WiFi, a washer and a dryer, coffee bar, a pool and jacuzzi, a pool table, a poker table, indoor and outdoor lounging areas, a campfire ring, a BBQ pit, a shooting range, and multiple fishing ponds.

At the McGrath Ranch, if approved in advance, you can expect any of the following cuisine: South Texas breakfast, Texas BBQ, burgers, game featured dishes, and of course, Tex-Mex dishes.
To prepare for your South Texas trophy hunt, you should be sure to practice with your equipment of choice. You should shoot through several rounds of target practice and make sure you are comfortable with the gun and ammo you plan to use.
